Baby Shower Precious Moments

Born in nineteen thirty nine, Samuel J. Butcher is the creator of Precious Moments, the little whimsical, tear drop dolls. About thirty years or so ago, Mr. Butcher started drawing his little children for gifts for family and friends. Today they are known round the world and are loved by many. Mr. Butcher was a devout Christian and some say they can see this in his work.

In the early nineteen seventies; Mr. Butcher and a dear friend Bill Biel started the Precious Moments Company, drawing them on posters and cards. They both being Christians, they would take them to the Christian book stores around the area to be sold. Soon after those became a hit Mr. Butcher went to Enesco Corporation to have them develop a three dimensional figurines. They were made out of porcelain and the rest can be called history.

There are as many as one thousand and five hundred pieces in the whole collection. Many people around the world have one maybe more Precious Moments figurines in their home, in their offices. When a new baby is coming, some will host a baby shower Precious Moments as the theme. Most hosts that do this find the figures so dainty and almost spell binding.
